PoR Week 28 Recap – A week of firsts (and near firsts) |
|
Jul 20, 2010 - 10:43 PM - by spspears
|
There was no letup after a very strong showing last week, as Aaron and Bryan led Press on! Rallysport to new heights in week 28. Their performances, in conjunction with a great team effort, helped maintain our second half momentum.
Aaron broke through for PoR's first victory, driving his Peugeot 205 Rallye to first place in class N1 and 39th overall the Rallye X Trem in Madagascar. He finished with a commanding lead of more than 9 minutes in a rally that lived up to its billing. Competitors faced fog, rain, and finally ice and snow on 17 treacherous special stages. The... |
Jul 18, 2010 - 5:36 PM - by Joe Owens
|
The ILMS World Division got off to a good start today with its first event before the start of season 2.
The event was at the Nuerburg GP track in the GT Challenge Format.
9 drivers started from the grid and Neal Johnson was the pole sitter,Mike Tribble was in the second grid spot.
The event was full of action from start to finish with a lot of very close but good driving taking place, some drivers kept up cat and mouse moves lap after lap which led to a very exciting contest.
Neal Johnson held the first place spot from the grid to the finish flag, great driving Neal.

CMS Fun Series: P&G Monaco |
|
Jul 14, 2010 - 9:45 AM - by Phil E

The next race will be at Monaco using the group 2 cars on 8/1. The group 2 cars were basically showroom stock, and range from the powerful but heavy Jags and Mustangs, to the nimble but slow Mini's and Abarths. I've got them broken into subcategories below, but to be honest I think the little cars have as good of a chance at overall wins as the big cars on the twisting streets of Monaco. The Monaco track is everything you expect. Drastic elevation changes, beautiful vistas, and hard walls that dare you to run closer.

Press On! Rallysport Week 26 Recap: Two podiums at the halfway mark
Week 26 of the Rallyesim championships marks the halfway point of the year. And, if this week's results are any indication we should be headed for a strong second half. Two Press On! Rallysport drivers, Bryan and Steven, scored class podiums this week and a team effort moved us up in the standings.

Bryan and Justin competed in the Rallye de la Côte Roannaise. This was a coefficient 2 rally with three runs over the very technical Pirka Menoko stage. After Justin threw down the gauntlet with a... [Read More]

2010.07.01 LeMans | 2010 ILMS | 4-Class |
|
Jul 04, 2010 - 2:55 AM - by Kinst Vonsterga

Liberté at LeMans! With 29 racers qualifying, the attrition rate during CMS-2010's grand season finalé was nothing less than apocalyptic. Only 12 brave souls were able to complete this most demanding course as the pit stalls were busy repairing a never ending stream of damaged car bodies, broken suspension and engines that were pushed to their limits. The combination of technical turns and flat-out speed that exceeded 210+ mph, proved to be more than many racers could endure for 2.4 hours. Congratulations to all those who... [Read More]

The long and the short of things: PoR Week 25 Recap
It was wet in northwest Europe, and that led to some challenging conditions for Press on! Rallysport competitors in Week 25. In all, we had five drivers taking part in three tarmac events ranging from a 3-run hillclimb to a 23-stage IRC rally.
On the short side of things, Justin competed in the Course de Côte de Valderoure-Caille hillclimb in the mountains of southeastern France. This was a Cup event, meaning that the best two runs... [Read More]

2010.06.24 LeMans | 2010 ILMS | GT-Class |

Is there no limit to the excitement found at CMS 2010?! The grand GT finalé at Lemans brings us a special Tour-de-France finish at one of ILMS' premier racing venues!
Absent from the LeMans podium, Kevin Cinnamon is still able to retain his season victory, preserving a 50pt margin over his nearest rival, Tom Cinnamon. Tom barely survives a mid-season surge by Kevin Wood who placed 2nd at Lemans, coming within 2 points of stealing Tom's silver trophy for the season. Kevin's stamina was pushed to the... [Read More]
